Nick has this to say:

I have been interested in reptiles all of my life.  I caught my first snake, a garter snake, when I was seven.  After it escaped, my parents said "no more snakes".

This did not deter me.  My interest in snakes continued to grow.  Over the years, I kept a few snakes, but usually only for short periods of time.  In the year 2000, I attended my first reptile show in San Diego.  It was there that I decided I wanted to keep and breed reptiles.  A few years later, while searching for frogs with my future wife, we spotted a California kingsnake.  The snake got away, but my passion was reignited.  I then purchased my first pair of kingsnakes with the intent to breed.  In 2005, we began to purchase breeder animals and RNP Reptiles was fully realized.

Laura has this to say:

When I was little, instead of playing with Barbie dolls, I was out catching lizards with my best friend.  Most of them were too fast to catch.  The few that we caught ended up being released.  I always wished my mother would let me keep one.

Many years later, the hunting continued with my future husband, but this time for frogs.  Later, he invited me to my first reptile show.  My love for reptiles only increased with his presence.  My first snake came from a friend who no longer wanted to care for his kingsnake.  It was Zoe (the kingsnake) that made me realize that I wanted to have more reptiles.  My childhood passion for lizards then transpired into geckos.  My love for reptiles continues to grow every day.

From us:

We strive to produce only the finest quality.  We prefer to breed natural colors of reptiles, which we consider far more beautiful than most morphs.  You will only find the best here.
